New Product: 11" x 11" Beige, Waffle Weave, Satin Edged Facial Cloth The softest facial cloth ever! Care & Cleaning Of Your Microfiber! Microfiber loves hot water, but can be washed in warm water. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners on microfiber. Bleach destroys the fibers and fabric softeners coats the fiber and they will not absorb well or pick up dirt. Dry your microfiber products on low heat, or line dry them. (Microfiber drys soft when line dried compared to cotton which can dry stiff and rough.) If your microfiber seems to have become nonabsorbent - it either is dirty, has become coated, or has been destroyed by high dryer heat. A number of laundry detergents contain fabric softeners even though they don't directly state so on the label. You may need to read the ingredient list. I find if my microfiber dish cloths are getting stiff or nonabsorbent, I soak them in hot water and Oxy-Boost, Oxy-Prime Powered or Allergy-Free Liquid detergents.(Or another oxygen bleach or detergent ). The hot water causes the fibers to swell and the oxygen cleaners help to break down stains and cause release of the dirt & softeners. By its nature microfiber pulls dirt and grease inside of the fibers so it is important to get the fibers to release that dirt. Rinsing your cloths in hot water when finished using them also helps to prevent this problem. (I personally have experienced stiffness and nonabsorbency with my dish cloths). Periodically I try to wash my "whites" in hot water to help keep the microfiber cleaner. If you are accustomed to using natural hand bar soap, especially if it contains vegetable oil or lard, you may experience this same problem. The fats from the soap along with the dirt will get pulled into the fibers of the cloth - plugging it up. You may need to soak your facial cloths as well to get them clean and possibly switch to a liquid soap or one with a lower fat content.
