Cleaning Up Your Pool & Deck Safely & Naturally - No Chlorine Cleaner Needed! 

This month we are featuring natural cleaning products to help you clean up your pool & deck to get your deck and pool ready for a summer full of swimming, grilling out, and summer time fun.  Plus products to help you enjoy that pool more.

It is important to keep our patios, decks and pools cleaned, for dangerous conditions can be caused by slippery or worn boards from mold, mildew, rotting, splintering and corrosion of nails. Clean up your decks with EXTERIOR PROx Deck & Patio Cleaner, it is safe, won't harm your clothes, pets, plants and the environment, for it contains no bleach or oxalic acid.

Instructions for Use To Clean Your Deck & Patio:

0. Remove any loose soil or dirt.

0. Wet the deck with water.

0. Pre-treat oil and grease stains with a hot water solution of dish soap or Natural Choices Orange 100 Cleaner & Degreaser.

0. Prepare a deck cleaning solution by dissolving 6-8 ounces of Deck & Patio Cleaner in a gallon of hot water. Allow 5 minutes for it to dissolve and become “cleaning active”.

0. Apply “cleaning active” solution to deck with a microfiber mop, roller, sponge or microfiber all purpose cloth. A pump sprayer or spray bottle is good for applying solution to railings or other vertical surfaces.

0. Wait 15 –20 minutes after application then scrub with stiff bristle brush or broom. 

0. Rinse with water.

Repeat as necessary, especially for really worn or stained decks.

Solution will remain “cleaning active” for 6 to 8 hours but will be most effective when used soon after mixing.

Do not store in a sealed container as the “cleaning active” solution will give off oxygen and may cause the container to leak. 

If you have vertical areas that need extra "clinging" power try Oxy-Cling Thickener.

You can also clean your deck with Oxy-Boost, with a little dish soap as a wetting agent, and use the rest to clean your laundry.

Clean Your Pool With Oxygen Instead of Chlorine!

You now can have a clean pool without the use of chlorine cleaners. Clean it with oxygen instead.

Chlorine can change the color of your hair, and it has been shown that in studies, exposure to chlorine can cause and increase in Asthma in children. You can absorb chlorine through your skin and breathe its fumes while swimming. So clean your pool with a natural cleaner like Oxy-Pool.

Oxy-Pool is a safe cleaner, shocker and chlorine remover. It will remove algae from your pool, leaving no foul smell that can occur with chlorine cleaners. With regular use it will lead to better water quality, longer swim times and less eye & skin irritation.

With Oxy-Pool you can clean your goggles, pool toys, garbage cans, decks and pool areas. All these products are based on safe sodium percarbonate - a hydrogen peroxide (oxygen producing) cleaning compound.
